This is Kerry and Vickie, we are teachers in the school and academy here at Toni and Guy. We are studying at university for a BA in Adult Education and in this class we were able to add some of our creativity to the pretty full on topic of educational policy. We have been studying at UTS of 18 months and during that time, have learned so much that we can bring back to T&G to give the students the best possible educational experience.

It’s almost that time of the year again, when our Certificate III & IV students graduate. This year we are focusing on the photo shoot. The judges will be voting for best image of the year. We are super excited to have Alannah Hill as our clothing sponsor!
Graduation Class of 2011

Hair & make-up by Stella Anogianakis, TONI&GUY School of Hairdressing, Certificate III Graduate 2011

TONI&GUY School of Hairdressing were asked to style Models for the TAFE Sydney Institute Fashion Design Students.
Inspiration this year stemmed from the ‘Ballets Russes’(The Russian Ballet). The event, which was held at The Strand Arcade was watched by both up and coming designers and old favourites, who have previously graduated through the School…Designers such as Morrissey grace such shows and we were all so excited to see this years collection pieces.
And what a show it was! The garments undoubtedly set an unbelievably high bench mark for future fashion, whilst the hair was a an outfit to itself, they sat perfectly together on the models - A sign of talented artists working together to create the ultimate desired look.

It was a night to remember! A night surrounded by some of Australia’s most talented hairdressers all wanting to be crowned with the same winning title.
The National Wella Trend Vision Awards in Sydney saw 2 of our own taking Gold in the Colour Category. Sophie Lomas and Andrew Dalbertanson from TONI&GUY Mosman presented a cutting-edge style interpretation of the Lumina trend (one of the 4 Wella Trends of 2011) inspired by femininity and fused with soft tones.
The Prize - an all expenses paid trip to New York to represent Australia at the International Wella Trend Vision Awards….WOW!
After accepting the award in front of the industry greats, Sophie commented,“I can’t wait to go to New York. This is the third time I’ve entered Trend Vision which shows that persistence really does pay off, I chose to represent the Lumina trend with a soft, feminine cut that included gentle pink tones; a look that was inspired by Swarovski crystals.”
We cant wait to see what Sophie delivers in the ‘Big Apple!’

Hosted by Wedgwood Friday 29th July 2011 Felix Bistro and Bar, 2 Ash Street, Sydney.
We were invited to celebrate the launch of Harpers Bazaar Collections magazine for the new season, S/S 2011-12.
Guests to the event wore a mix of international and local designer labels demonstrating their enthusiasm and support for the industry we were there to celebrate.
The event, hosted by Wedgewood saw the elite of the fashion world sipping on English teas and enjoying mouth watering canape’s served on stunning bone china. Fashion was quite simply the reason we were all there, sharing a passion for beauty and swapping inspirational ideas is what keeps TONI&GUY at the top of our game!
TONI&GUY Staff were invited to the event as many of our team work and assist on editorial shoots for Harpers and as a result feel both part of and proud of the launch of this seasons fashion Bible!

TONI&GUY Australia have been waiting with baited breath over the past few months to see what the finalists of the Chambord Shine Awards would design for the 2011 collaboration with Australian retailer, Seduce.
The event, a rather stunning Tea Room in the heart of the city, hosted an array of glamorous industry professionals and celebrities, including the fabulous Melissa Hoyer and Peter Morrissey.
The Team at TONI&GUY were set to impress from the word go, creating ‘Uber-chic and Oh-So glam Up-styles’ on the models. The dressing room was a luxury apartment inside the Hilton Hotel, where Lady Gaga also happened to be staying during her whirlwind Australia tour (…and yes we were trying to catch sneaky glimpses as the screaming masses of mini Gaga’s stood outside the hotel desperate to get in!)
Just another busy day in the life of a TONI&GUY Stylist!
The Australian Chocolate Couture Awards challenges designers to create an original chocolate inspired outfit to be judged by a panel of renowned Australian fashion industry leaders.
Naturally TONI&GUY and its band of creative Session Stylists were their to make the models look fabulous…A full day of styling, drying , up-styling, curling, straightening and tweaking was had until the models couldn’t possibly look any more stunning.
The final stage of the competition saw 12 designers present their creation in front of an audience of 400 guests at the Sydney FSHD Lindt Chocolate Ball on June 18, 2011. It was a night of high fashion, champagne and beautiful outfits set to perfection by beautiful hair.
